I disappeared there, didn't I? Sorry, friends-- life happens.
So this past week has seen two new arrivals in our household (apart from Chisoni, the ever-adoradable hedgehog). One is a new kitten:
She has been dubbed "Evangeline Siskayou". She spent the first twelve hours mewing constantly, but has settled in. Panku, at first terrified of this feline addition, seems to be making her peace. They were playing together this morning, and Panku even let the wee threat eat from her dish. Good kitties. True entertainment.
The other arrival this week was even more exciting, believe it or not. My Mum completed the arduous trek across the globe to come and stay with us. Seriously, the excitement levels around here are out of control!
With Mum here and the end of the school year approaching, things have been BUSY.
We did manage a trip to get some photos of a local school for and NGO I am helping. I have tons of these-- I so love these kids, and their teachers, who try so hard in such truly challenging conditions. My Mum said she was just dying to roll her sleeves up and get to work. Hear, hear!
ps-- Thanks for the hedgehog love! Some of your stories made me laugh. They are very grumpy creatures by day, but ours is quite friendly at night. He is a Cape Hedgehog, does not hibernate, is full grown at 201 grams (Ana took him into class and they weighed him), and eats "light" cat food and fresh vegetables, plus whatever bugs Asher pokes at him.
Evageline Siskayou!? Your family just keeps getting cuter.
