I'm going to have to follow your pin board.... Though we have many books I'm always looking for more. I loved the Read Aloud Handbook for more good ideas on reading to children (even older children).

People were asking me the same thing so I did a post on it a few weeks ago. I think the best thing we did was to live without a television. There's nothing lovelier than to see a child reading a book.

I've found that my students enjoy many of the books you've pinned. They also enjoy books by Chris Wooding, Margaret Petterson Haccix and Nancy Farmer.

My 7 year old really struggles with reading and often says 'I hate reading..'. so I read to him a lot. A few weeks ago he added, ' but I love books'.
I felt so happy - that was a very very nice present he gave me.
