It has been a busy month. Yesterday, the children and I were home with no one else in it for the first time in weeks. It felt lonesome, and empty. None of us particularly wanted to be there. So we went to the county fair instead.
Bella thinks she should decoarate a cake next year, Ana wants to enter some writing, and Asher a drawing. We shall see. Our neighbor won six first place ribbons for her flowers, and we also saw a newspaper clipping of her as the dairy princess way back when. A new history and culture to learn about.
There were sno-cones and old playground equipment and small building projects.
But everyone's favourites were the animals: bunnies and chickens and sheep and goats and horses (some worn out) and cows and pigs. If we had more room or a different zoning, I suspect I would be overrun...
Also? I have something like seven hundred photos from this last month. I may try to do a recap of our time at Kootenay Lake, and another from camping in the Willamete National Forest.
It all looks so very lovely! You live an admirable life that we should all aspire to!

A perfect summer day and such a lovely way to get to know everyone .
I've always wanted to go to a County Fair , though I know I'd throw a toddler tantrum when I couldn't take the quilts and the Jersey cow home with me .
