Yesterday we headed out through the most beautiful winding gravel roads to Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge in the Wilamette valley. We saw many dozens of birds, small frogs that hid themselves in the deep cracks between the baked clay to keep cool, a family of deer, and Ana had a very scary encounter with a large and aggressive gopher snake.
I love the frog shot! What a great colour contrast! Looks like a good day out.

Thanks so much for having a public blog! Tonight was a quiet Sunday night and as the children were snuggled in their beds I looked over the last couple years of your life in Africa. Much better than he Telly. I have come away with many great ideas, one is too search for great book cases to display the children's book. Despite the sicknesses, getting your home broken into, and sometimes lack of modern day conviences it seems like you have a charmed life. I can't wait to taste your coconut fish soup. Your children are gorgeous!!!!
