I just realised this is my five hundredth post. That's a lot of me babbling about nothing in particular. A lot of lost teeth, haircuts, small children getting so much larger, and craft projects. And an awful lot of photos and memories I am grateful to have recorded here. To those of you who have been here to encourage this little blog along its way, thank you. This has become a very special corner in my life.
Congratulations! I know I am so glad you here in this space. It inspiring to read about your journey.

It is idyllic, I completely agree. That's why we're not sure we can ever move away, even if our roots aren't here (we think we've found the closest thing to paradise in North America). Your mother always seems to have a graciousness about her - she's very beautiful. I'm so glad you write this blog - congratulations on 500 posts!

P.S. You make raspberry jam out of frogs ? I love photos of raspberries almost as much as I enjoy eating them .

Thank you for sharing your corner of the world with us. I've enjoyed your blog since I discovered it early 2007. We are leaving Zambia in September for our Central Oregon homeland. It's amazing to me that Oregon and Zambia hold special places in your heart as they do in mine.
Blessings to you and your precious family.

Lovely photos, especially grandma with Asher. I'd love to know where the frog pond is so we can visit next time we are in town. And, congratulations on reaching 500 postings on this lovely, gently humorous, artistic blog. Much love from us all,

Katurah, Congratulations. I love your blog. Your words and photos reflect something so beautiful and appreciative of the world (and people) around you. I always look at my own family and environment with a keener, kinder eye after I check your blog. Thank you!

Raspberry jam. *sigh* It can only be beat by fresh raspberries. :) This year we had to buy our raspberries instead of pick them. (we are in the midst of house renovations) One flat for eating...one flat for jam making.
Your photos - amazing! My photos...so not blog worthy. *grin* So glad to read that you are enjoying the PNW. We love living in this great area of the US.
Happy 4th of July :)
